In the world of youth athletics, CHAMPIONS ARE MADE IN THE SUMMER! The value of summer conditioning & training in preparation for a winning season cannot be emphasized enough. Summer workouts are also a great way to meet people, have fun, and get in great shape. Regardless of your experience or speed, this camp will have a group for you to train with and you are welcome to join us at any point throughout the summer.

  • Train with other CCS students, five days a week, all summer long

  • Structured training guided by experienced coaches and varsity athletes

  • Learn the basics of distance running

  • Personalized group workouts based on training history and ability

  • Strength and stretching programs designed to help all athletes: develop core muscle strength, prevent injury, & increase speed

  • Fun games, theme days, & group socials

  • Get in excellent shape for other sports (soccer, swimming, basketball, etc)

DATES: June 3rd thru July 26th

DAYS: Monday thru Friday

TIME: 7:00am to 8:30am

WHO: Rising 6th to 12th grade boys & girls

LOCATIONS: Bond Park (& West Cary Middle School Track)


Here is what you will need to bring: 

  • Comfortable running/exercise attire. Usually, a pair of nylon shorts (i.e. Nike shorts) and a t-shirt work great.

  • Good running shoes. If you need help picking out good shoes, let us know.

  • Water bottle with your name on it. Though the mornings are cooler, you need to bring a filled water bottle.

  • Optional: Digital watch with a stopwatch feature. It doesn't have to be expensive. Many of our workouts are time-based runs (i.e. 30-minutes easy or 20 minutes out and back).
